Himalayan Yoga and Meditation Teachers Association is a private association for yoga instructors. As a member you will receive the following benefits:

 

Four Development Seminars

 

Certified members of the Association lead these half-day events. Here you will have the opportunity to

 

  • Maintain and build connections with fellow yoga teachers

  • Learn new ideas in practical teaching and yoga techniques

Annual Retreat

 

There is an annual retreat at discount to members. The retreat lasts from Friday evening to noon on Sunday. It is located at a site convenient to Northwest Chicago. We will feature guest speakers within our Himalayan Tradition, as well as professionals in the Yoga Community. Take advantage of a chance to reflect on your own growth as a yoga teacher and network with you colleagues.

Diane McDonald, Director, was certified to teach Hatha Yoga in 1992, and is presently teaching classes in Palatine and Park Ridge. She is the center’s director as well as director of the Teachers Training Programs.

 

Kathy Czach, Programming, completed her training at The Lotus Yoga Centre in 1973. She is teaching more than 100 students weekly in Hoffman Estates, Barrington Hills and Arlington Heights.

 

Chenoa Lorenzo, Hospitality, has been taking classes for over 11 years. She is currently enrolled in our Teachers Training Program and will be graduating in October 2009.

 

OUR TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OFFERS CONTINUING EDUCATION, RESOURCE FOR CLASSES OR TEACHERS, QUARTERLY SEMINARS AND ANNUAL RETREAT.
